Kamsons Pharmacy are part of the Waremoss Group operating across the UK and were the first company in Northern Europe to deploy a robotic pharmacy picking solution.
As a company employing more than 1200 staff, Kamsons are required to comply with both the energy legislation acts of the Energy Saving Opportunities Scheme (ESOS 2014) & the Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting (SECR 2018), to identify, implement and report both energy and carbon reductions.
Kamsons came to us wanting advice to get the most efficient power and reporting systems for their high energy needs. Pharmacies have exceptionally high energy costs compared to many other industries mainly because of the energy required to refrigerate medicines.
By installing 892 solar panels in a free standing array with a system size of nearly 250kW, Kamsons can now work off-grid from April to October and pay much lower energy bills in the winter months too.
We have received numerous awards for decarbonising the community. Would you like help to reduce the carbon footprint of a private or public sector company?
